Overview
DailyTask is a minimalist daily planner for people who want to move important work forward without maintaining a massive, overwhelming backlog. Instead of infinite lists and nested projects, it encourages you to commit to a realistic set of tasks for today.
Core features
- Simple daily view that surfaces just what you’ve chosen to focus on
- Quick add/edit of tasks with optional priority and notes
- Subtle visual cues to help you distinguish between must-do and nice-to-have items
- Opinionated constraints that keep the list from becoming an unmanageable dump
Why I built it
Most task apps are incredible at capturing everything but not great at helping you decide what to actually do today. DailyTask is an experiment in narrowing scope: fewer knobs, fewer views, and a tighter feedback loop between planning and doing.
Future ideas
- Lightweight analytics on streaks and completion patterns
- Multi-device sync and offline-friendly behavior
- Optional integrations (calendar, email, or other productivity tools)
